ANGUS COLLEGE NC EQUESTRIAN STUDIES COURSE

Angus College's very popular full time NC Equine Studies course is delivered in partnership with Pathhead Equestrian Centre.

This is the only course delivered in Scotland that allows you to, first, experience real work on a commercial yard (as well as classroom theory) and second, work towards the very user friendly, and highly respected, Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) Qualifications.

Students are involved in everything we do at Pathhead Equestrian Centre including following daily yard routines, dealing with all aspects of horse care, looking after customers and getting involved in training horses. There are lots of opportunities to ride (both in the school and out on hacks) and those who want or need extra riding tuition can earn it by volunteeering to help out on days off.

ABRS qualifications can lead to a a professional grooms or a teaching qualification and include graduated tests in equitation and stable management, riding and road safety and lunging. Child protection and first aid courses are also included in the curriculum. Those who are interested in teaching will be given a chance to practice under supervision.
