2. Stabled Livery

Economy - £7.50 extra on top of current grass livery rate. This is available only in the summer months (determined by clock changes) This option is the same as DIY stabled but we do not supply hay and straw. Primarily designed to give owners the use of a stable for parking purposes in the summer at cheaper rates. Not designed for owners who want to leave horses standing in eating hay for long periods of time. (i.e. overnight or more than an average of 2 hours a day).

DIY - £42.00 per week. As DIY grass livery above but also includes the use of a designated stable, straw for bedding and ad lib hay. Owner is responsible all aspects of horse care including turning out/bringing in, rugs and mucking out.

Gold - £55 per week. As gold grass livery but with a stable. We do everything for the stabled horse including mucking out every day, turning out, bringing in, rugging and feeding. Veterinary and other requirements are included by arrangement only and may be charged extra for.

All liveries

Worming – it is vitally important that all horses on the yard are on the same worming programme and for this reason, all owners are required to use the same wormers as Pathhead at the same time. When worming is due a list of all horses will be put up and names ticked off as owners hand in empty wormer boxes. If any horses have not been wormed within a week of the designated worming date, Pathhead will buy the wormer, worm the horse and charge the owner for the cost of the wormer plus the time and trouble. All new horses need to be wormed unless they have been wormed immediately prior to arrival.

Use of facilities – Lliveries can use facilities at Pathhead. (ie. indoor school, outdorr school, tracks, jumping paddock, warm up paddock) anytime they are not being used for riding lessons.  There are also designated times when liveries are guaranteed the use of the indoor school (twice a day most days, morning and late afternoon – see separate sheet).  If liveries want the school to themselves (e.g. if they have arranged to have a lesson with a freelance instructor or they want to ride on their own) they must book and pay for it in advance but get 20% off the usual rates.

Quarantine – we may ask that new arrivals are kept away from other horses for up to 3 weeks. This may include the use of a stable which will be charged for at the usual rates. Please ask for more information.

Summer Hay Use – Owners who have horses who need to eat hay in the summer rather than grass (e.g if they are on box rest or are in starvation paddocks with ad lib hay for any reason) will be charged £9 extra a week towards the extra hay consumption.

Other Services Offered

Clipping – £25 per staff member per hour (normally only one unless your horse needs someone to hold it and you cannot be there). The minimum charge is the hourly rate.

Breaking/schooling/problem solving – charges as private lessons – see Activities and Charges sheet.

Stable for one night for grass livery (subject to availability) - £7.50 DIY; £10 if we muck out, bring in etc.

If any other help is required that your plan does not cover, we may charge for it. If this help is required on a regular basis we will suggest you move onto a different plan.
